If you don't like playing as Claire Redfield in Resident Evil 2, but perhaps want to play as another character from an entirely different game, then you can play as Ellie from The Last of Us. Well, if you're PC user you can at least.

Thanks to Darkness Valtier, there is a PC mod that can be applied to Resident Evil 2 Remake that replaces Claire's "Elza Walker" costume with a model of Ellie from The Last of Us. There is a video of the mod in action which you can find directly below. The mod itself is titled Ellie The Last of Us Mod according to the video title, and while it isn't up on Nexus Mods at the moment, WCCFTech has a link to the file.

Admittedly, while it certainly looks like Ellie, I can't help but be thrown off by the height of the character, especially when I'm looking at young Ellie's face. It's a bit jarring but for fans of The Last of Us, I'm sure it won't cause too much of an issue.

Perhaps it's due to the character being right next to a fully-grown woman throughout the cutscene because, in an earlier video released by Darkness Valtier (Found below), the height differences don't appear to be so prominent.

Darkness Valtier has created a range of mods for Resident Evil 2 Remake over on Nexus Mods, bringing characters such as Heather Mason from Silent Hill 3 to the game. Jack Baker from Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, and even Captain John Price from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

While this mod seems pretty cool, especially for those who can't wait for The Last of Us: Part 2I still find myself finding the honking-great mod that brings the Untitled Goose Game to Capcom's horror to be the best.

While the game launched earlier this year, we have had official confirmation that Resident Evil 3 is on the way, and to add to that, an achievement in Resident Evil 2 seems to tie into the upcoming third title.
