Released almost two years ago today, indie darling Elliot Quest launched on Wii U. Dubbed as a love letter to Metroid, Castlevania II: Simon's Quest, and Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, Elliot Quest is a side-scrolling action adventure of a cursed protagonist looking for a cure.

According to developer Ansimuz Games, a definitive version of Elliot Quest will be coming to multiple platforms within the week. While the game is coming to three different platforms, it will be in a staggered release:

  • May 9 on PlayStation 4;
  • May 11 on Nintendo 3DS; and
  • May 12 for Xbox One.

What is being added to the definitive version? According to Ansimuz, this includes special collectibles, multiple save slots, EFIGS localization, achievements, trophies, and 3D on Nintendo 3DS.

There has been no mention of this game coming to any other consoles -- so don't be holding your breath for a Nintendo Switch version yet. There is also no word whether the PC or Wii U versions, previously released, will be updated to include any and all new content. Either way, check out the original launch trailer below.
