Elon Musk and Todd Howard Reveal That Fallout Shelter is Coming to Tesla
Surprisingly, Skyrim is not one of the game's coming to the leading smart car.
Elon Musk and Todd Howard joined Geoff Keighley on the E3 Coliseum stage to talk about “video games, cars, space, and everything in between”. While there, they showed off footage of a few of the games coming to Tesla. You already know about Cuphead, but the duo also announced that Fallout Shelter will be playable on Tesla. Watch their full conversation below.
The talk with Keighley covered quite a few topics, but the focus centered on video games. Musk and Howard talked quite a bit about the budding partnership between the two. They joked that they wanted to bring Skyrim to the car, but decided to start a little smaller with Fallout Shelter. They are still in the early stages of development, so we didn’t get to see any footage of the game in action. However, Musk did reveal a few clips of other upcoming games.
First up was Cuphead. It looks just as beautiful as it does on any other console. In the clip, the player was using an Xbox One controller to control the action. Beach Buggy Racing 2 was the other game shown and it looks incredibly interesting. It’s a racing game where you control your in-game car with your real-world steering wheel and pedals. Sure, it’s just a cutesy kart racer, but the control scheme seems deeply interesting. If it catches on, I could see people porting all kinds of racing games over.
Musk was quick to clarify that you cannot play these games while the car is in motion. He also noted that, in addition to their work on games, his team is developing a farting app, which he calls his finest creation. What will the geniuses at Tesla think of next?
