For those who haven’t played the previous games in the franchise, Emily is Away and Emily is Away Too are a series of visual novels developed by solo-developer Kyle Seeley.

Players play the games on a replica version of AOL Instant Messenger and must make a range of choices that alter the story along the way.

The latest game in the series, Emily is Away <3, has been a long time coming, with the previous title releasing in May 2017.

What’s different with Emily is Away <3?

Emily is Away <3 takes things forward a few years and begins in the era of Facebook or Facenook as it’s known in the game.

It follows a similar pattern to the other titles, where dialogue choices and decisions affect the story’s final outcome, however, is played out across a social media platform as opposed to an instant messaging one.

The game maintains its short succinct style, with the previous two clocking in at around an hour or two.

What is the Emily is Away 3 confirmed Release Time?

Fortunately for fans, there’s not too much longer to wait. Emily is Away <3 is scheduled to release around the world on Friday, April 16.

According to Steam, the game looks set to drop for all players at the following times:

  • 4 PM – UK
  • 3 PM – UTC
  • 11 AM – ET
  • 10 AM – CT
  • 8 AM – PT
