Amplitude Studios' twin-stick tower defense game Endless Dungeon will be made available for Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store on May 18, followed by a Switch version at a later date. Alongside the release date announcement, Sega has opened up pre-orders for the upcoming tactical shooter.

Players who pre-order the "Last Wish" digital edition of Endless Dungeon will gain early access to the game 48 hours before its launch. They will also receive exclusive digital items, such as a soundtrack featuring Lera Lynn and Arnaud Roy, a digital artbook, and the Pioneer Skin pack. Lastly, pre-ordering the Last Wish edition on PC gives players access to the closed beta and the "Final Rodeo" OpenDev, which is running from today until January 30.

Final Rodeo is a gameplay test period of sorts, during which players can test out some gameplay basics such as combat, environments, and interaction with monsters. The third OpenDev session for Endless Dungeon features 5 playable heroes, 15 monsters, four different districts, single-player and co-op game modes, plus a new part of the Saloon, including a workshop and beverages. Any handful of feedback would help Amplitude Studios to shape the game heading to its global launch.

Endless Dungeon has had a rocky development phase, and players have not seen much of the tower defense roguelike, which was first announced as far back as December 2020. Having showcased a few gameplay snippets revolving around the squad-based combat, developer Amplitude Studios promised Endless Dungeon would release sometime in 2022.

Endless Dungeon is now set for a release on May 18th and will offer random adventures through monster-infested dungeons rather than focusing on tales of large-scale conquest. Although Amplitude Studios calls the game a direct sequel that has the same spirit as Dungeon of the Endless, it differentiates itself with an expanded sci-fi universe, new districts, and heroes, as well as a multiplayer co-op mode that allows players to explore the secrets behind the black magic.

Last but not least, there is also a physical edition which comes with a physical version of the artbook and Crystal Search card game, along with digital items like a skin pack and soundtrack. Do note that pre-ordering the physical edition of Endless Dungeon won't give access to the limited-time play test mentioned above.
