Fallback – ENDROAD’s New 2.5D Rogue-like – Releases Next Month

ENDROAD's Fallback is a brand new 2.5D action-platformer with rogue-like elements and a jetpack.

Developer ENDROAD is a relatively new studio made up of former Ubisoft and Amplitude Studios veterans. Their first game is a stylish action platformer called Fallback. The game has a slick 2.5D art style and incorporates rogue-like elements that will let you build the ultimate hero. Plus, there’s a jetpack. Give the announce trailer a watch below.

Fallback is set in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity is living under the surface. The remnants of society now live inside a bunker built by a mysterious corporation. That bunker is now ruled by robots who are doing their best to protect humanity, by killing them if they try to leave.

You’ll take on the role of the last humans left on Earth. Procedurally generated complexes patrolled by bots and filled with deadly traps greet you each time you brave the world beyond your bunker. As you fight your way through, you’ll unlock 50+ different skills that you can mix and match to make the most hardcore freedom fighter you could possibly imagine.

I really like the look of this game. I’m a sucker for both 2.5D art and rogue-like gameplay. Plus, I don’t know if you’ve heard, but Fallback has a jetpack. Jetpacks are the coolest. Moving around the environments looks like a ton of fun, and I’m excited to see if ENDROAD can deliver on this promising trailer. Fortunately, we don’t have to wait long to find out.

Fallback launches on PC via Steam on October 11. Until then, stay with DualShockers for all your indie game news.
