Enjoy the Beautiful Art of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Bethesda just published a stunning video featuring the transition between the concept art of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and the game itself.

They didn’t stop there, as they also released a full developer diary about the art  that gave birth to the world that we’ll get to enjoy on November the 11th. It includes a podcast narrated by the Game Director Todd Howard and featuring concept artists Ray Lederer and Adam Adamowicz and Lead Artist Matt Carafano as they talk about their sources of inspiration and what drives their work (and meat!).

As you listen to the podcast (you really should, as it’s really interesting and funny) you can enjoy the video past the cut, alongside a gallery with the full resolution version of all the artwork published today. I figure I’d save you the horrible clicking through the convoluted flickr interface to get to them (you just need to click on each artwork piece to get the full resolution version). I’d be surprised if today didn’t see the birth of many wallpapers.

Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality) and MMORPGs are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
