Enslaved Not Dead, Franchise Potential

In spite of poor sales, great reception from critics and gamers alike may yet result in Enslaved turning into  franchise. In an as of now unpublished interview with MCV, the games marketing director Lee Kirton said;

“It didn’t perform as well as we hoped it would, but we’re very proud of how it was received by both the media and the gamers who have experienced it.
I can’t discuss where we are in terms of a sequel, but we’re looking at reviews and feedback from the press and because of the gameplay and quality that Enslaved delivered, we see it as a great catalogue title going forward.”

I know a lot of people who greatly enjoyed the game, and others still that were left underwhelmed by it. We’ll see what develops from this, and perhaps the sequel will fare better and possibly spur sales of the original.
