People living in Europe who are looking to buy Fable III in late October will have another game to hold them over until the big launch day arrives. Fable III: Kingmaker is the upcoming geo-location mobile game that will pit players against each other in groups. How this game will work is based all on your location and gaining territories. Depending on whether you’re a Royal or a Rebel, players can gain the territory for their group by tagging their location and planting a flag using the GPS on their smartphone. Any type of land can be flagged, whether it be an unclaimed land or not.
Factions with the most flags will claim the lands as theirs, thus “conquering” it, changing the color of the location to that that belongs to either the Rebels or Royals. Your reward for conquering the lands? Gold that can be used in the upcoming Xbox 360 title. With this godl, players will be able to customize their characters, products and houses. Chris Lewis, the Vice President of Interactive Entertainment Business, Microsoft EMEA states,
“Fable III: Kingmaker brings gaming out of the home and turns your town or city into the setting for an epic online battle. We are always challenging ourselves to find new, exciting ways to deliver second-to-none gaming experiences and we can’t wait to see Fable fans take to the streets across Europe with Fable III: Kingmaker.”
Fable III: Kingmaker will hit select smartphones on October 4, 2010. To see if your phone makes the cut, or if you’re interested in learning more about the game, visit http://www.fable3kingmaker.com/Default.aspx.
