EVE Burst Error is a classic among visual novels, launched in Japan for PC in 1995 and for Sega Saturn in 1997, it holds a special place in the hearts of many fans even thanks to the writing of Hiroyuki Kanno, who unfortunately passed away in 2011, and to the iconic character design by Nao Tajima.

Developer El Dia recently announced that it's remastering the Sega Saturn version under the title EVE Burst Error R, adding new CG, digitally remastering the old illustration, and bringing the options up to par with modern visual novels. Below you can see a comparison between the old Sega Saturn version (above) and the remaster (below).

We also get a few screenshots, that don't hide the quite sexy nature of the Sega Saturn version (the PC version was actually a full-fledged eroge), and a gallery of artwork of the main cast.

The game is scheduled for a release in Japan next year.
