CCP Games has announced that its next update -- which will be free -- for Eve: Valkyrie, titled Groundrush, is set to launch on PlayStation VR, HTC Vive, and Oculus Rift on April 11th.

The update most notably comes with a new map called Solitude. According to CCP Games, the map is a "radical departure" from the game's previous battlefield of open space, as the action is set against the back of the first combat zone located on a planet's surface.

Co-op also has been expanded with the update, and will now include both Control and Carrier Assault game modes. This player versus AI only playlist is described as the perfect place for pilots looking for a challenge with other pilots, rather than against them. No matter which mode you select, all XP progression and rewards are the same.

The update also will come packing a new avatar animation feature, which beside from making the world feel more believable and realistic, will help pilots celebrate victory or be sad in defeat.
