Everwild Eternals Trailer Shows Characters Living in Harmony with Nature
Everwild looks incredibly serene.
Everwild was shown at today’s Xbox Games Showcase with a rather ethereal-style trailer featuring the characters and creatures of the world all…peacefully living in harmony together. The trailer didn’t reveal any gameplay, but the trailer itself was beautiful.
The trailer showed off humans living alongside large and surreal looking creatures, such as the big bearded thing in the featured image above. That thing knocked down an entire tree by way. It really does seem as if this is going to be a rather peaceful looking game. I don’t think I saw one moment of death. A bunch of fish fell out of a big mouth, and a dying deer looking creature was revived by the humans performing some magical ritual.
Rare’s Louise O’ Connor, the executive producer behind Everwild spoke at the end of the reveal. They explain that the game is supposed to be a place where you can be “eternal” and a place to lose yourself in. Magic flows through the game’s world, connecting every living thing. There doesn’t seem to be much else detailed in regards to what the story will be about other than a peaceful experience, but who knows, maybe that’s the goal.
Everwild is of course still in development, and details surrounding the game have been fairly quiet. It is due to launch at some point in the future on Xbox Series X and Windows 10. It’ll also be available on Xbox Game Pass. There appears to be no Xbox One logo in the new trailer that was revealed today but the official website still lists the Xbox One, but it also doesn’t list the Xbox Series X.
