Sega has announced a partnership with Nvidia, which will bring Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II (Sonic's most recent outing) to the former's upcoming handheld device, Shield, as a pre-loaded game.

The game is touted as running at 60 frames-per-second on Shield's Android-powered, "Custom 72-core NVIDIA GeForce GPU Quad-core ARM A15 CPU," and, "Tegra 3 Nvidia Chipset for silky smooth gameplay and graphics." Shield also utilizes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity to provide cooperative gameplay wirelessly, as well as haptic feedback.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II was developed by Sonic Team alongside Dimps and was published by Sega on May 15th, 2012. The game has been released across numerous platforms.
