Evil Geniuses Win $6.6 Million Dollars in The International Championships

The North American team Evil Geniuses, made up of three teammates from United States (Saahil “UNiVeRsE” Arora, Kurtis “Aui_2000” Ling, and Peter “ppd” Dager), one from Canada (Clinton “Fear” Loomis), and a 16 year old from Pakistan (Sumail “Suma1L” Hassan Syed) have won the Dota 2 International Championship. Each team member will bring home $1.3 million dollars and are the first team from the U.S. to win the tournament.

Evil Geniuses were knocked out by CDEC earlier in the tournament’s Upper bracket, but came back and beat LGD Gaming in the Lower bracket finals to make it to the grand finale matchup. Evil Geniuses won the best of five series 3-1, though CDEC still took home $2.8 million, about $560,000 each. You can watch the grand finale best of five matchup below.
