I’m not sure what’s up with wicked crazy priests, but everyone seems to want to have one in his video game, and Tango Gameworks’ The Evil Within 2 is no exception.

Enter Father Theodore, who is introduced in a new story trailer of the game just released by Bethesda.

Apparently he’s looking for Detective Sebastian Castellanos’ daughter Lily as well, but his reasons to do so appear to be a lot more selfish. He wants to use her powers to shape her worlds into his realm, with himself as the ruling god. Just a tad ambitious, isn’t he? Video game priests tend to forget that pledge of humility, it appears.

You can enjoy the trailer below, and if you want to see more, you can also watch thirty minutes of terrifying gameplay, on top of reading our hands-on preview.

The Evil Within 2 releases on October 13th for PS4, Xbox One and PC, even if Shinji Mikami himself would be rather keen on seeing a Nintendo Switch port.
