Ex-Battlefield Developers Announce New Studio With Unveiling of Their New Space Survival Simulator

Two former DICE employees and the creative minds behind Battlefield, Shadow of the Damned and Lost Planet have come together to create a new studio named Fugitive Games. The announcement, posted today, also gave us an insight on their new project – Into The Stars.

Taking the role of captain of your ship, named ARK 13, you’re able to explore vast worlds through space in search for a new home for humanity. You will be able to choose your own crew members, customise ARK 13 and hunt for resources to help in your adventure. If that doesn’t sound like enough to keep you thoroughly occupied – you also have to fight an alien race who are never far behind you in your journey.

Into The Stars also features permadeath, meaning none of your previous team members will be revived if they are killed. Your decisions will affect your gameplay experience, and it’s up to you to choose whether you want to keep your team safe or risk their lives defending the human race.

Fugitive Games are currently working on development of the upcoming space survival simulator and have started a project on Kickstarter.

Into The Stars is heading for release in July 2015 for PC and Mac.
