I'll be honest, to come from a studio that exclusively makes first-person shooters, I didn't exactly see this coming. Today, two ex-Infinity Ward employees, Kent Gambill and Moudy Hamo, announced that they have formed a brand new studio titled Winterborn Games.

While it's a bit hard to find out exactly what Hamo worked on while at Infinity Ward, Gambill worked as an Engineer on the studio's last release, 2016's Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, as well as an "unannounced project," which is presumably next year's release, rumored to be Modern Warfare 4.

While full details about Winterborn Games' first title has not yet been announced, it was revealed that the studio's producing a "tactical RPG" which will be available for both PC and consoles.

To celebrate the announcement of the new studio, the developer released one of the first images of all of its employees together during a meeting. You can check it out at the top of the article.
