Just before E3 2017, Iron Galaxy Studios announced Extinction, an interesting action game where players take on gigantic ogres in order to protect their city. I had the chance to see an early build of the game in action and talk with Extinction's Executive Producer and was impressed by what I saw. That being said, Extinction has only had a vague "Q1 2018" release window since its initial announcement. That changed today though, as it was revealed that Extinction will release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on April 10.

Extinction has both a standard version worth $59.99 and a Deluxe Edition for $69.99, which comes with the game's Season Pass. The developers also revealed the title's pre-order bonuses, which will go up in February and are different depending on the retailer.

Those who pre-order from GameStop will get the Last Legs and Heads, You Win trails, where players have to slay a certain amount of ogres within a time limit. If you pre-order the game via Best Buy, you will receive Short Fuse trial, which has players completing "unique objectives" according to the developers. If you decide to pre-order it straight from the PlayStation Store, you will get the tough Double Trouble trial; meanwhile, if you pre-order it on the Microsoft Store, you will get the even more difficult Brightsteel City trial.

If you want to get Extinction's Season Pass, you can get it through both the $69.99 Deluxe Edition or buy it on its own for $14.99. The Season Pass is titled Days of Dolorum, though its exact contents haven't been detailed yet. DualShockers will be sure to let you know when they are.
