F.E.A.R. Online Launching On PC This October

F.E.A.R. Online will be launching on Steam later this month, right in time for the spooky franchise to return two weeks before Halloween on October 17th.

The game, developed by InPlay Interactive and published by Aeria Games, is being launched as a free-to-play shooter that will bring you back to the horrific story of Alma Wade once again. The game is entirely multiplayer focused, featuring various competitive and cooperative options for players to indulge in.

Co-op will let you fight through horror-filled scenes and take down all sorts of twisted creatures with a group of friends. On the competitive side, over ten different maps will be available with players able to shoot at enemy players and avoiding NPC monsters at the same time. Unique game modes will also be on-hand, with ways to warp yourself into blood thirsty beasts or possess enemies as a ghost.

You can checkout F.E.A.R. Online in an open beta on the games official site October 8th before the official release on Steam to see if it wets your horror game itch.
