F1 2022 update 1.08 brings the much-anticipated AI fix to the Career mode of the game today (August 9) to complete the series of fixes that were applied in the recent 1.07 patch.

After players complained about AI drivers gaining more speed than usual on direct routes in the circuit in F1 2022, Codemasters officially confirmed the issue last week, revealing that they had started to investigate the problem already.

With Patch 1.07, the developers brought a number of fixes and applied some changes to tone down the issue and make it a fair experience for players, however, the support team did mention that a full fix for the issue is in the works and would be available in a separate update.

Hopefully, today the full AI fix arrives on all platforms with update 1.08. The patch only includes the fix to the AI system in the Career mode. So, don't expect any more bug fixes or improvements.

Below you can check out the patch notes for F1 2022 update 1.08:

  • Rebalancing of AI performance in Career

According to the developers, after installing this patch, you will notice a decrease in the difficulty level of your Career mode save by 5. So, if you find the game not challenging anymore, you will need to re-adjust the difficulty settings.

Also, if this new update creates any troubles for you or causes a new bug to appear in the game, you can always report the issues to the support team via this link.

F1 2022 is the second title in the series that launches under the management of Electronic Arts after the American publisher acquired Codemasters and all its IPs a few years earlier. The series has been on the right track for several years now.

The developers try to gradually improve the player experience by adding new game modes and expanding the existing ones. However, it remains unknown what would be the next big step in the franchise in future years.

Currently, Electronic Arts is planning to release a new Need For Speed title later this year as its second Racing/Sports launch of 2022.
