The next generation of Fable game has received its release date as card battle game Fable Fortunes will be launching on Xbox One and PC July 11th. Of course, there's a bit of a catch, however.

Just as The Witcher has done with Gwent, Fable has jumped into the card game genre by introducing fans of the franchise to a much different Albion. Fable Fortune is currently in closed beta, but offers two types of gameplay. You will be able to play against other players in PvP or with a friend in its co-op mode. what makes this card game different from others is that you can change your heroes' abilities during the game based on the choices you make. You decide as a player whether your character becomes good or evil, and as a result their abilities will change.

Now, about that catch I mentioned earlier. Fable Fortune does launch on July 11th, but only for those who want to buy it. The Founder's Pack for the game, set at a price of  $14.99, will get you into the game on July 11th straight away and it comes with 20 packs of cards to open as well as some guaranteed rare cards. If you don't want to shell out the cash, well, then you'll need to wait until Fable Fortune releases as free to play which is currently at an unknown time frame later in 2017.

Fable Fortune is a Microsoft exclusive, and will only launch on PC Windows 10 and Xbox One. Check out the trailer below.
