After years of rumors, Fable makes its triumphant return to Xbox in the Xbox Games Showcase in a teaser trailer and we are here for it.

While Halo Infinite is the top-billing member of the Xbox family, it’s hard to underscore how beloved the Fable series is. After a long string of rumors, the game was finally revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase — and it looks great.

Showcased in a very very brief teaser trailer from developer Playground, you can get a cinematic vibe of what the game is going to entail.

Rumors of a new Fable game started swirling all the way back in 2018, with sources saying that Playground had it early in development. Since then we’ve had some incremental drops that hinted at an upcoming launch. To start, a Reddit user supposedly leaked a ton of details about the future Fable game before quickly deleting it. In the leadup to the reveal of Xbox Series X, Microsoft announced that Fable Anniversary would be coming to Games with Gold — some people believed it was a nod to a rumored announcement. Finally, some eagle-eyed Twitter users noticed a placeholder Twitter handle — both with Microsoft ties.

Little is known about Fable so far outside the teaser, but it is coming to PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. Keep an eye on DualShockers for more information about the game as it becomes available.
