I won’t say that you Europeans are lucky bastards this time around because, realistically, I’m not too much of a fan of the social networks. I do have them to keep in touch with distant acquaintances, but I’m not too much of a fan with regards to tweeting “I love hotdogs,” or posting Facebook messages unless it’s to ridicule my friend’s friends (the stupid thing people say is just mind blowing). For those of you who do enjoy tagging your friend’s photos and tweeting that the sky is blue, though, you’ll have all the reason to joyously express yourselves beyond what you do now – especially if you’re a owner of an Xbox 360… and live in the UK.
As per the UK Xbox website, the long-awaited Facebook and Twitter services will be hitting Xbox Live on November 17th. Don’t fret, my North American brethren, you too will have a chance to experience this service sometime in the coming future. Xbox Live Gold Members will be eligible to touch upon a public beta arriving sometime in the “middle-towards-end of October,” according to MTV Multiplayer. Silver Members, you’re basically assed out; you’ll have to continue using your computer to tweet how much it sucks being a Silver Member. Sorry.
