By now I’ve sure you’ve heard about the privacy and application changes going on with Facebook – well it is definitely hurting the social game market by the looks of the latest Monthly Active Users (MAU) numbers.

Zynga’s Farmville is still the most popular game on Facebook with 75.5 million MAU’s last month, which I understand is a lot, but consider that two months ago their MAU was 83 million. Facebook has been on the PR offense lately when they announced they would limit the application notifications and begin to share private information starting in March. Users have been scrambling to learn and change the new security settings, but with changes like this, you can already see some backlash taking place. 18 of the top 25 Facebook games lost players in April and 12 of those lost subscribers of one million or more.
