Today, Frostkeep Studios announced that they’d be allowing players to register for their faction-based survival title Rend’s first public alpha test.
Players can register for a chance to be invited to the public alpha by going to the game’s official website. Those who have access to the alpha will be able to give direct feedback to the development team and help shape the game before it launches on Steam Early Access later this year.
Earlier this year, I had the chance to check out Rend at PAX East with the game’s developers. I thought the game had a lot of cool concepts and am interested in seeing how it’ll grow over time. In Rend, you start as one of three factions in a giant open world. You’ll be placed in a team of 20 and from the beginning, it’s up to you to decide what your role will take on for your team. Each team will have a base that offers them safe haven, but every now and again your protective barrier will drop and your team will have to defend their base from a multitude of enemies in the world.
If you’re interested in Rend, you should definitely consider applying for the public alpha, or you can wait until the game goes to Steam Early Access later this year.
