Fairy Tail RPG Screenshots Reveal Playable Jellal Fernandes, Laxus Dreyar, and Mirajane Strauss (Updated)

Jellal, Laxus, and Mirajane are among the characters you can add to your party in Fairy Tail RPG. Character specific sub-events revealed.

Koei Tecmo and Gust revealed more characters in the upcoming RPG adaptation of Hiro Mashima’s most popular manga. Fairy Tail RPG, as we affectionately nickname the game, will let you play Jellal Fernandes, Laxus Dreyar, and Mirajane Strauss.  It was previously hinted that Jellal would be one of the possible party members seeing there’s a boss fight against him in the game, but he was now officially confirmed.

Koei Tecmo revealed the characters via this week’s Famitsu magazine. The screenshots are included below. Koei Tecmo also revealed some of the character-specific events and side-stories, and how they are mostly comedy-themed. We have a Grey x Ichiya event, a Mirajane x Juvia event, and a Laxus x Gajeel event.

As of now, Fairy Tail RPG has 15 different playable characters now that Jellal, Laxus, and Mirajane were revealed. Here’s the full list of who can be included in your five-member party: Natsu, Wendy, Lucy, Gray, Erza, Luvia, Gajeel. Sting, Rogue, Sherria, Kagura, Ichiya, Jellal, Laxus, and Mirajane.
Producer Keisuke Kikuchi wasn’t exaggerating when he mentioned in our interview with him that the development team will add as many characters as they can. Each character has their own specificities and abilities, and now we learned they have specific characters events too, so we probably should get both quality and quantity.

Mirajane is my favorite Fairy Tail character so I’m pretty happy she’s playable. I was slightly worried because Koei Tecmo initially only mentioned she’s taking care of the quest bulletin board in the game.
