Early September, Koei Tecmo announced a brand new Fairy Tail RPG adaptation with a teaser trailer. New information on the game will be revealed later this week at Tokyo Game Show 2019, but some details ended up leaking in advance from some magazines.

As such, it was revealed that this new Fairy tail game will be using a turn-based battle system. This isn't too surprising as everyone was expecting either a turn-based or an action battle system. Because this Fairy Tail game isn't developed by Omega Force, but by Gust, known for the Atelier series.

Koei Tecmo also announced the game will let you create your own party using some of the most popular Fairy Tail characters, and that the game adapts popular story parts from the "middle" of the manga.

More details will be revealed on September 15 at 13:00 JST during the Koei Tecmo TGS 2019 stage show. We'll publish very soon an editorial featuring all similar streams and their schedules.

We'll possibly update this story in a few hours if more information becomes available. Look forward to our coverage of Tokyo Game Show from September 12 to 15.

The Fairy Tail RPG will be available in 2020 on PC, PS4, and Switch.
