Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout Pre-Order Bonus Gets Crazy Half-Life Crossover

Gordon Freeman falls into Devolver Digital's upcoming party game.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout was given a release date of August 4 at the recent Devolver Digital showcase. Alongside the release date, the crazy upcoming PS4 and PC party game was given some information about a very interesting pre-order bonus.

Any customer who pre-purchases the game through Steam will get access to an exclusive costume, based around the protagonist of Valve’s Half-Life series, Gordon Freeman. The costume variant sees one of the wacky Fall Guys sporting the typical Freeman look, but with an evil parasitic headcrab atop his head. The unexpected crossover was almost certainly made possible due to the fact that Valve owns both the Half-Life IP and Steam.

Although the PC pre-order bonus looks great, sadly there’s no news on whether the PS4 version of the game will be getting any special Sony related pre-order bonuses as of yet.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is an upcoming battle royale-style game with a twist. In Fall Guys, 60 players are launched into a set of insane obstacles similar to those seen on TV hits Total Wipeout and Takeshi’s Castle, competing against each other to be the last one standing. The game offers “round after round of escalating chaos” and looks like it’s going to be incredibly fun.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout wasn’t the only game to get some new information from last week’s Devolver Direct. The bonkers showcase gave us details about Carrion and its release date, a new Serious Sam 4 trailer, and first look at some gameplay from the first-person action game Shadow Warrior 3.

Personally, I’m really looking forward to Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout‘s release in August and its fresh take on the last person standing genre. The game is available to pre-order now on both PS4 and through Steam.
