These Fallout 4 Mods Re-imagines Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 3; New Videos and Trailers
Ever wondered what Fallout: New Vegas or Fallout 3 would look like running on Fallout 4's engine? A team of modders is making that a reality.
Although the next installment in the Fallout series remains a mystery, the modding community in Fallout 4 continues to go strong — adding new additions to the game, ranging from adding new items into the game, implementing content that was cut from the final version, to even changing the game entirely with better textures. Of course, there are two new mod projects that are looking to revive older Fallout games.
The first new mod title Fallout 4: New Vegas is a project composed of approximately of 100 modders, with the goal to reinvent Sin City, featuring quests and content that was available from the Fallout: New Vegas. Aside from bringing in all the assets used in the 2010 title, this new mod also utilizes gameplay elements featured in Fallout 4.
Originally, this mod was announced back in October, however, new screenshots were released yesterday, which shows off the dynamic weather, which you can check out below. Currently, Fallout 4: New Vegas does not have a release date, but, if you are interested in learning more about the development of the project, check out the team’s official Facebook and Twitter pages. Or if you are interested in lending a hand, check out the mod team’s application form. Until then, check out this announcement trailer as well as the aforementioned screenshots below.
Much like Fallout 4: New Vegas, Fallout 4: The Capital Wasteland is an ambitious project that aims at recreating the 2008 ARPG Fallout 3 and all of its Capital Wasteland glory into Fallout 4. This mod will feature quests and content that was available from Fallout 3. Of course, this is not just a copy and paste job with a new coat of paint, as the game mechanics that were implemented in Fallout 4, making it an unofficial remake of the title.
Now development on this mod has begun since early this year, however, recently the team unveiled new video showcasing gameplay footage on YouTube channel MrMattyPlays, despite it being pre-Alpha footage, getting the first glimpse on this project shows that the hard work is paying off and personally makes me excited for whats to come.
Unfortunately, the mod does not have a release date, there are plenty of screenshots of the progress, which you can check out on the project’s website, as well as on its official Twitter account. On top of that, if you are interested in lending a hand consider contacting the team. Additionally, the gameplay footage I mentioned in the paragraph above will be provided below.
Fallout 4 is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
