At this years QuakeCon, we learned some more information revolving around Fallout 76. Mostly involving Wastelanders, the fall update that is going to be adding human NPCs and factions to the game along with a branching dialogue system that was described to be more similar to Fallout 3's dialogue system rather than Fallout 4's.

In the update, the dialogue options that are going to be available to players will be determined by the player's attributes. Differing levels of perception, charisma, and other stats will all have a direct impact on dialogue choices while interacting with NPCs.

During the Fallout 76 panel, Jeff Gardiner, project lead, stated: "Also, remember this isn't the Fallout 4 dialogue system. This is more like Fallout 3, where you have a list of stuff..."

Jeff had to take a short pause due to the eruption of applauding coming from the fans in the audience. I guess hardcore fans of the series really prefer 3 to 4.

After the pause, Jeff continued: "So you'll have a list of things, and you're not just limited to those generic options."

Longtime Fallout fans will probably be pretty excited to hear this news. In fact, I think most players will just be happy that Fallout 76 is evolving into a typical Fallout game rather than the multiplayer mess that is was before.  Hopefully, this update will continue to right the ship and this game can make a comeback just like No Man's Sky.

Fallout 76 is currently available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The new Wastelanders update will be coming to the game sometime this fall.
