Please Stand By. A new show based on Fallout has just been revealed on the official Fallout and Amazon Twitter accounts. The tweet, which contains a 23-second video set to typical Fallout music, reveals that the show will be an Amazon Original and will be developed by Kilter Studios and Bethesda Game Studios.

Kilter Studios, arguably best known for their work on HBO's hugely successful Westworld, will be heading the project and bringing over the creators of the hit dystopian series, Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy. One of the gaming industry's most recognizable personalities and director/executive producer at Bethesda Game Studios, Todd Howard, will also be executive producer on the show. Looking at the calibre of the production team, it looks like the show will be in good hands.

A press release followed the tweet and contained a quote from both Nolan and Joy who said: "Fallout is one of the greatest game series of all time. Each chapter of this insanely imaginative story has cost us countless hours we could have spent with family and friends." Nolan and Joy added that "we're incredibly excited to partner with Todd Howard and the rest of the brilliant lunatics at Bethesda to bring this massive, subversive, and darkly funny universe to life with Amazon Studios."

Todd Howard also showed his excitement for the project stating "it was clear from the moment I first spoke with Jonah and Lisa a few years ago, that they and the team at Kilter were the ones to do it right. We’re enormous fans of their work and couldn’t be more excited to work with them and Amazon Studios."

The upcoming Fallout series will follow in the footsteps of other adaptations such as Netflix's The Witcher series, which will start filming season two this August, Cuphead and Castlevania in making the jump from the realm of video games to streaming services.

Kilter Films are are currently in pre-production on the techno-thriller drama The Peripheral so it could be a while until we see anything on this product. But either way: WE'RE GETTING A FALLOUT TV SHOW!

It's a good month for Fallout fans with this news and the fact that Fallout 76 is due to hit Xbox Game Pass this month. Keep your eyes peeled here for more details on the TV show as soon as they are announced.
