Visual Novels are part of a relatively niche genre in the world of video games.

However, they often present developers with an incredibly interesting and unique way to tell their stories.

Recently, games like the Phoenix Wright rereleases, Emily is Away and Doki Doki Literature Club have all helped the genre reach a wider audience. Now, we're just days away from two more titles that can help propel the visual novel genre forward.

Here is the Famicom Detective Club: The Girl Who Stands Behind and The Missing Heir release time on the Nintendo Switch.

What is Famicom Detective Club: The Missing Heir and The Girl Who Stands Behind?

The Famicom Detective Club series is a pair of adventure/visual novel titles released in 1988 and 1989.

Famicom Detective Club: The Missing Heir was the first title released in the series, before its prequel, The Girl Who Stands Behind followed.

The games were developed and published by Nintendo and created by some very recognisable names, including Yoshio Sakamoto (Metroid, Kid Icarus) and Gunpei Yokoi, Nintendo legend and creator of R.O.B, the Game Boy and so much more.

What is the Famicom Detective Club Release Time on Nintendo Switch?

In the UK and Europe, Nintendo states that their first-party titles "will usually be available at 14:00 GMT (15:00 CET) on the day of release."

As the games are only available digitally, Nintendo says that in the US, the game should "be available at 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time (midday Eastern Time) on the day of release."

For those who are interested, it's worth noting that, while the games are available individually, they can be purchased as a pair for a saving of $10.
