Capcom's upcoming horror game Resident Evil VII: Biohazard is around the corner and if Famitsu's reviews are any indicator then it seems like it could be a runaway hit.

The game, according to Famitu's reviewers, will feature a meaty 15 hour campaign which is packed to the brim with unnerving moments that are only heightened when experienced in VR:

"This latest instalment in the Resident Evil series adds an entirely new interactive horror element compared to previous games. The change between watching tapes found throughout the game and the actual game itself is seamless and really adds to the realism. The quality of the game increases when you put on the PlayStation VR!"

The really interesting thing about the reviews from Famitsu is the reaction towards the VR performance, Resident Evil VII could very well be the turning point in the AAA VR development space and will hopefully convince more developers to take the risk.

Resident Evil VII: Biohazard scored an impressive 36/40 (9/9/9/9) from Famitsu and will release on PS4, Xbox One, PC and PSVR on the 24th of January 2017 in North America and Europe whilst Japan will have to wait until the 26th of January.
