Fan Remake of Half Life Relaunches as a Paid Game
The developers of the Half Life remake Black Mesa have today announced that they’ve been given the go ahead to sell their title as a full retail game on Steam.
Despite being completely based off Valve’s original Half Life, even going so far as to copy certain assets, Valve appears to have no issues with the game being sold.
With this new release, the Black Mesa creators will recieve full access to the Source Engine, which they intend to use to more effectively continue development of Black Mesa.
Black Mesa launched last year to strong reception, with many praising both the far updated graphics and the changes to voicing which stripped the age off of Half Life.
