MCU Fans Think Tom Cruise Appeared in Doctor Strange 2 Trailer

After watching the trailer, fans think they've spotted a variant of Iron Man, quite possibly the Superior Iron Man from the comics. On top of that, some fans are confident that it's none other than Tom Cruise playing Superior Iron Man in the upcoming film. Ever since the trailer went out, several fans have been sharing the screenshots on Twitter to prove that that Mission Impossible star is in Doctor Strange 2 trailer.

It's important to note that some fans also think that instead of Tom Cruise's Superior Iron Man, it's Monica Rambeau's version of Captain Marvel.

Superior Iron Man in Marvel Explained

In Marvel Comics, Superior Iron Man is the darker version of the Iron Man we all are familiar with. Unlike the Tony Stark we know, this version of the character is a villain who only wants to grow his wealth and power. Superior Iron Man often deceives others for personal gains, and he always thinks of himself above all others.

In the comics, Superior Iron Man becomes evil during an Axis Event, in which the morality of all superheroes is reversed. However, when everything is undone, all heroes get back to their true selves, but Tony Stark chooses to stay evil.

In Doctor Strange 2 trailer, we can see Ultron's robots taking Doctor Strange in front of the Illuminati. So, there's a chance that this version of Iron Man completed the Ultron project successfully, without it backfiring as it happened with Robert Downey Junior's version of Tony Stark.
