Nick Offerman will be playing a role in HBO's The Last of Us. However, it hasn't been revealed which character he would be playing so a lot of speculations are being made right now on the internet.

While no official announcement of Nick Offerman as a cast member has been made yet, the confirmation came accidentally from a fellow actor in TLOU. In an interview with The Guardian, Murray Bartlett (who will be playing the character Frank) said that it was fun to work with Offerman.

This pretty much confirms that Offerman will be casted in The Last of Us. As to what character he'd be playing, we have no idea but fans have already started speculating what his role could be.

Nick Offerman is best known for playing the reticent libertarian boss Ron Swanson on NBC's political show Parks and Recreation. Because of the persona he has in this show, several people are finding it hard to imagine him in any other role than Ron Swanson.

However, there are fans who believe that Offerman would do a great job in The Last Of Us show and are quite excited to see him.

After the news of the actor joining TLOU broke, a lot of fans started assuming that he'd been cast as Bill. But it seems unlikely as Con O'Neill had already been chosen to play Bill months ago.

Murray (Frank), mentioned in his interview, that he shot a lot of scenes with Nick. But Bill and Frank lived alone in their town so there could be two possibilities here:

• Either the creators recasted Bill (because it wouldn't make sense for Frank to have a lot of scenes with anyone other than Bill)
• Or Nick will be playing a new character that will interact with Frank (and Bill maybe?) to flesh out the story

There are others as well who believe Nick could be playing the role of David. Since we are completely in the dark about Nick Offerman's role in The Last Of Us, we shall have to wait for more information to surface.
