The Battle of Teutoburg Forest isn’t just one of the most important (and disastrous) defeats of Roman history, but also one of the prominent historical scenarios of the upcoming Total War: Rome II.

Today The Creative Assembly revealed a rather spectacular gameplay trailer featuring the battle in its entirety, and what a battle!

You can check the video below, featuring eleven minutes of lovely Total War: Rome II gameplay. Personally it’s hard not to be impressed, especially by the environmental design, that’s way better than what we saw in previous games of the franchise. If the folks at The Creative Assembly wanted to impress me, well…mission accomplished.

He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
