Fantasy Action RPG Magicka Has a Release Date: Tomorrow. Seriously.

January 24, 2011

As reported by Big Download, publisher Paradox Interactive finally has a release date for oft-delayed fantasy RPG Magicka: January 25th, or tomorrow. The PC RPG may look pretty vanilla to some of you Diablo die-hards, but if the trailer is to be believed, it doesn’t take itself seriously at all, and looks to even lampoon the genre itself. Beyond that the battles actually look quite action-packed, and with up to four players, this may be a sleeper hit. Hit the jump for the year-old trailer and see for yourself.

You’ll presumably be able to purchase Magicka for the PC at Paradox’s home page here, and expect a review of it from us soon.

Allen is an utter whore of a gamer; he's completely open-minded to all games, be they AAA blockbusters or $5 casual children's games. His focus is on indie games specifically, valuing gameplay and ingenuity over sparkly visuals and ridiculous gimmicks. When he's not geeking out over the newest art game, he's out toning his sexy, sculpted shoulders while surfing epic 1.5ft waves, or having a good time with local, high-gravity microbrews.
