Far Cry 4 Announced; Release Dates Set for Fall

May 15, 2014

Far Cry 4 has been announced with release dates set for later this Fall. The US version will launch on November 18 while EMEA territories will be postponed until November 20.

Set in Kyrat, a wilderness ruled by a self-appointed king, the fourth installment to the series is described as taking a turn away from jungle isles that we saw in Far Cry 3. Dan Hay, Executive Producer, explains:

Following the success of Far Cry 3, we wanted to take the franchise to the next level and create a game that will surprise players and exceed fans’ expectations.

Given the unique setting, we feel Far Cry 4 will stand out as a top first-person shooter and we’re eager to reveal more about the game in the coming months.

Those who pre-order will also receive a free upgrade to the Limited Edition feature Hurk’s Redemption missions and his harpoon gun, The Impaler.

The game will be available on PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and on the PC.
