Far Cry 5 Infinite Gameplay and Creative Map Editor Announced; Season Pass Gets New Trailer
Far Cry 5 is getting a map editor called Far Cry Arcade, featuring assets from Far Cry 4, 5, and Primal, as well as Watch Dogs and Assassin's Creed.
If you’re like me and you can’t wait to get your hands on Far Cry 5 then you’ll get excited by even the smallest amount of information or news about the game, but this one almost certainly takes the cake. Today developer Ubisoft revealed Far Cry Arcade, a brand new feature that will be available with Far Cry 5 after the game launches.
To put it simply, Far Cry Arcade allows players to create their own, albeit smaller, Far Cry levels, maps, experiences, etc. and share them with the community thanks to an in-game map editor. What’s really special is that it technically acts as a crossover between Ubisoft games; this new mode will include assets from Far Cry 4, Far Cry Primal, Far Cry 5, Watch_Dogs, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, and Assassin’s Creed Unity.
Far Cry Arcade will be available for all players completely free of additional charge.
In addition to the announcement of Arcade, a brand new trailer for the game’s season pass was also revealed, which shows off some of the first footage of the game’s DLC packs. You can check out the trailer, as well as a preview of the Arcade mode, at the end of the article.
Far Cry 5 is set to launch on March 27, 2018, and will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
