Far Cry 5 is only a few weeks away from release and while a ton of carnage and mayhem can be expected from the latest in the blockbuster franchise, those looking to dig deeper into the characters and setting of the game's Montana-bound setting can listen to some intriguing new stories.

A new podcast series called "Hope Country Stories" has debuted from the long-running podcast Gamertag Radio, with a new episode coming each week from the podcasts' hosts as they interview and get stories from the citizens of Far Cry 5's Hope County setting, including several characters that will be featured in the upcoming game. The show itself is fully produced by Gamertag Radio and highlights an intriguing way of telling the stories behind Ubisoft's new title.

In a tweet from Gamertag Radio's Danny Pena, the first episode is available now and highlights Pastor Jerome Jeffries, both in his current role as a priest in Hope County and his role within the town's Resistance movement trying to fight back against the cult leader, Joseph Seed. Likewise, the first episode also introduces Joseph Seed for a bit more backstory on his role in leading Eden's Gate.

Far Cry 5 will release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on March 27th, 2018 - in the meantime, you can check out the first episode of the game's Hope Country Stories podcast below, which will debut new episodes every Wednesday. You can also check out a new trailer that released today that gives the spotlight to Joseph Seed, the game's main antagonist.
