Far Cry 6 is all set to give players a trip down the memory lane, by bringing back some of the oldest and most beloved characters in the franchise. Announced back at the Ubisoft Forward Event in July last year, Far Cry 6 will be taking players to Yara, a fictional island located in the Caribbean.

As players take the role of a Yaran, Dani Rojas, they need to take on the father-son duo of Antón Castillo, the dictator of Yara, and Diego. The role of Antón is portrayed by Giancarlo Esposito, the actor who is well known for his work in the critically acclaimed Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. Ubisoft is seemingly trying to capitalize on the father-child dynamic, something which has quite a significant impact on the narrative of games like God of War and The Last of Us.

Far Cry 6: Can you play as Vaas and Pagan Min?

As the release of the game draws closer, Ubisoft is revealing more information about what players can expect from the latest installment in the popular open-world franchise. During the E3 event, Ubisoft has revealed the Season Pass details for Far Cry 6.

Ubisoft is giving its Season Pass an all new twist, with three villains from previous games being added via the Season Pass. That means, players will be able to play as Vaas Montenegro from Far Cry 3, Pagan Min from Far Cry 4, and Joseph Seed from Far Cry 5 if they get the Season Pass.

The Far Cry franchise is known for its iconic antagonists, and Vaas has been one of the most, if not the most, popular characters in history of gaming. Vaas' voice actor,  Michael Mando had hinted earlier that he might "reprise the role very soon", which made fans wonder if Vaas could be the villain in Far Cry 6. However, it seems like Ubisoft is giving fans something to be more excited about while setting quite a compelling case for the game's Season Pass at the same time.

Far Cry 6 will be releasing on Amazon Luna, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Stadia on October 7, 2021.
