Remember when Bandai Namco Entertainment announced that it'd be releasing a Fast & Furious video game entitled Fast & Furious Crossroads this May? Well, you couldn't be faulted if you forgot about it, especially since the film that it was supposed to launch in proximity to, Fast & Furious 9, was delayed to 2021 as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

Still, after initially stating that the game's release for May would be "uncertain" after F9 was delayed, Bandai Namco Entertainment and developer Slightly Mad Studios have yet to officially reveal what the plans are for Crossroads. Is it still coming out this month in May? Will it be released at another date? Or will it be pushed back entirely to 2021 to still launch close to F9?

Well, we reached out to Bandai Namco recently to try and get some confirmation one way or another. While the news we were given wasn't substantial, it seems as though we should be hearing something more definitive on Crossroads in the near future.

Here's what a representative for Bandai Namco told us about the current release plans for Fast & Furious Crossroads:

"An announcement regarding the Fast & Furious Crossroads release date will be made in the upcoming weeks."

Again, there's not a whole lot to go off of, but the statement does seem to suggest that a delay out of May 2020 for Fast & Furious Crossroads is in the cards. Given that additional news on the title's release will be surfacing "in the upcoming weeks," it doesn't seem as though a launch this month is feasible, unless the game were to drop quite soon after this announcement. It's hard to infer a lot of specifics based on what we've been told here, but at least the questions surrounding this game's arrival should be cleared up in what seems to be the near future.

For now, all we've seen of Fast & Furious Crossroads has been via the game's announcement trailer which you can watch below. Whenever it does end up releasing, it's slated to land on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
