The chaotic high-speed world of the Fast and Furious franchise is set to go from the big screen to your mobile device with the upcoming title Fast and Furious: Takedown.

The game is set within the manic universe that has been popularized by the Fast and Furious action movies over the last two decades. The title features adrenaline-fuelled car chases where players must try to incapacitate opponents by taking them off the road in a similar vein to the Burnout series.

Fast and Furious: Takedown features a number of familiar cars for the movies including Vin Diesel's iconic Dodge Charger and the massive truck driven by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's character Luke Hobbs. Both of these vehicles can be seen in action via the video below. There are more than 60 unlockable vehicles to be used throughout the game in challenge missions, helicopter pursuits, and more.

Along with fast-paced arcade-style action that can be controlled using a single thumb, Fast and Furious: Takedown also allows players to collect car parts and assemble them to upgrade and customize vehicles via an in-game garage.

Fast and Furious: Takedown is coming soon to iOS and Android. For those who want to get a headstart on the competition, pre-registration is currently open.
