Arcade shoot'em up Fast Striker is launching on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita on October 16, 2018 from NGDev and Eastasiasoft.

Originally released for the NeoGeo MVS, this version is based on their 1.5 update. NGDev has also developed Gunlord, Neo XYX, Razion, and Kraut Buster, all based heavily in classic arcade gameplay. As with most classic arcade shoot'em'ups Fast Striker has bullet hell gameplay and massive mechanical bosses spread across six stages. There are four game modes to choose from: Novice, Original, Maniac, and Omake. Each has a different scoring system and playable ship.

In Novice you will simply shoot enemies and collect gold stars. Original allows you to spread out your shots and hold the fire button to release more powerful rocket attacks. A shield can be enabled temporarily to resist enemy attacks, and gold nuggets increase your score. Maniac mode gives you a beam that when focused on big enemies will turn green and boost your score. Destroying multiple enemies in a short time frame multiplies your score, as does your proximity to the enemy. The closer you are the more you are rewarded in points.

You can remap the controller's button functions, as well as edit display settings for scale, scalines, wallpaper, and overall brightness. Both versions run at 60 frames per second.
