XSEED Confirms No Content in Fate/EXTELLA LINK Was Censored for the West
XSEED Games confirmed on Twitter that no parts of Fate/EXTELLA LINK has been removed or censored in its Western release.
XSEED Games has confirmed through Twitter that no content has been censored or removed in the upcoming Western release of Fate/EXTELLA LINK in any region or platform, as stated in a recent status update from their official Twitter account:
Just to clarify again, there is nothing removed from Fate/EXTELLA LINK on any platform or region.

The tweet was posted in response to a fan’s inquiry for an official statement on the status of Fate/EXTELLA LINK, which has been a concern among some fans considering the recent cracking down of certain mature content by Sony USA in regards to titles published in the West on the PS4 and PS Vita platforms.
This has already occurred with XSEED’s other published title Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal in which they were forced to remove the Intimacy Mode from the PS4 release of the title. Omega Labyrinth Z‘s Western release for PS4 and PS Vita was infamously canceled, PQube’s official statement citing both issues with ratings boards and that they “must respectfully comply with the wishes of the platform holder.”
Even Capcom’s Devil May Cry 5 isn’t immune as some partial nudity had been censored with a lens flare effect. Sony USA has even been accused of such acts by Blizzard’s ex-Producer Mark Kern, stating that there is “a new wave of puritanism hitting games.”
While fans of the game are sure to be happy that Fate/EXTELLA LINK wasn’t affected by similar practices, only time will tell whether any other future releases of XSEED published titles, as well as other titles in general, will be censored in the West on Sony platforms. Fate/EXTELLA LINK is currently out for PS4, PS Vita, Switch, and PC.
