Publisher Marvelous has just released a short teaser trailer for the upcoming Fate/Extella Link right before the new year. This new trailer, seen below, brings to light a few new characters, and perhaps more importantly, a solid release date in Japan.

Much like previous series titles, Fate/Extella Link will feature hack-and-slash action against large numbers of enemies. Link will feature a facelift to the engine as well, with upgraded graphics and models.

According to the TV trailer there are even more servants planned to be added, but from this trailer we have:

  • Francis Drake (from Fate/Extra, voiced by Rei Takano)
  • Astolfo (from Fate/Apocrypha, voiced by Rumi Okubo)
  • Scathach (from Fate/Grand Order, voiced by Mamiko Noto)

Charlemagne, voiced by Ryohei Kimuram is a new addition to the roster. He joins as a sabre-class fighter with a blunt and not very regal personality.

Fate/Extella Link was first revealed back in August 2017 and is being developed by Marvelous for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, and -- according to the announcement -- is set to release in Japan on June 7, 2018. While an English localization has not been announced yet, it's almost no question that one is coming, given the series' history. Check out the quick 30-second trailer below:
