Square Enix Collective announced that the Sushee developed Fear Effect Sedna will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on March 6 for $19.99.

Shortly after going gold, Fear Effect Sedna will return players back to the world Fear Effect, a series that has not received an installment since 2001. The game is played in an isometric viewpoint where players will be able to interact with multiple characters at the same time. Furthermore, gameplay is a mix of real-time action, tactical stealth, and puzzles.

Founder of Sushee Benjamin Anseaume releases in a statement, “Fear Effect Sedna generated an amazing response from fans of the series when we ran our Kickstarter, and with the support of Square Enix Collective and co-producer Forever Entertainment, we’re excited to see just what they make of it come release."

He continues, " Developing Fear Effect Sedna has really brought the team here at Sushee together, and that’s exactly what the gameplay is about. Each character has different special weapons and the game includes a paused tactical mode to control different team members at the same time and give orders to work as a team. It’s an approach that taps into the core structure of the original games but, with the technology available to us today, feels very 2018.”

In case you missed it, Sushee Games is working on a remake of the original Fear Effect titled Fear Effect Reinvented which will contain the same atmosphere and fixed camera angles that players remember with update graphics and systems to bring the game to the current generation.

Additionally, Fear Effect Sedna was co-written by the series' original writer and will continue the story of Hana, Rain, Glas, and Deke, with the addition of a new character Axel.
