Feel-good Story of the Day: EA Replaces Fan's Ruined Copy of Dead Space 2

Ashley is your typical gamer who is a huge Dead Space fan. She’s been waiting a long time for the sequel, Dead Space 2. When it finally arrives and she begins playing it, her dastardly dog knocks over her Xbox 360, thus scratching the game all up. She wasn’t too happy about this, and took to Twitter to express her frustrations.

The cool part of the story is that someone at EA saw her tweets and asked for her address. Not too much later, she received a fresh copy of Dead Space 2…that was signed by the entire development staff at Visceral Games. Also included in the package was a signed drawing of the events that brought all this on – her dog knocking over her Xbox 360.

How cool is all this? As much as we become almost programmed to hate these big corporations like Electronic Arts, even though we buy and play their games on a regular basis, it still is nice to see that they’re all human just like us, and they really want to take care of their fans.

For a more detailed description of the entire series of events, you can check out Ashley’s blog, which I’m sure is getting way more hits than she ever thought because of this incident. Go ahead, add to them!
