It’s been 4 years in the making, but this coming March fans of the Final Fantasy series will finally be able to get their hands on what they’ve been waiting for. That’s when the first next-gen (numbered) Final Fantasy title touches down on store shelves. The game has been released in Japan for a fews weeks now and has been well received by both Famitsu video game magazine (the final word on games in Japan) as well as by the fans of the franchise from the land of the rising sun.
Squareenix has blessed us all with the following trailer being completely in English. They have also dug deep into their pockets to have a well known singer/songwriter by the name of Leona Lewis perform the game’s english theme song “My Hands.”
“When Square Enix approached Leona about including her song ‘My Hands’ in Final Fantasy XIII, she was honored to be partnered with such an iconic and groundbreaking video game series,” RCA Music Group’s Tom Corson said in a press release. “Leona is a natural fit with the game’s powerful themes and strong female protagonist.”
Without further adieu, please enjoy the Final Fantasy XIII international trailer! After watching you may go to your local video game store and hand them $60 and point to March 9th on a calendar, you don’t need to say anything else.
